<b>Dr. Jennifer A. Doudna</b> is the Li Ka Shing Chancellor’s Chair and a Professor in the Departments of Chemistry and of Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of California, Berkeley. Her groundbreaking development of CRISPR-Cas9 as a genome-engineering technology, with collaborator Emmanuelle Charpentier, earned the two the 2020 Nobel Prize in Chemistry and forever changed the course of human and agricultural genomics research.
</p>
<p>
This powerful technology enables scientists to change DNA — the code of life — with a precision only dreamed of just a few years ago. Labs worldwide have re-directed the course of their research programs to incorporate this new tool, creating a CRISPR revolution with huge implications across biology and medicine.
</p>
<p>
In addition to her scientific achievements, Doudna is a leader in public discussion of the ethical implications of genome editing for human biology and societies, and advocates for thoughtful approaches to the development of policies around the safe use of CRISPR technology.
</p>
<p>
Doudna is an investigator with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, senior investigator at Gladstone Institutes, and the founder of the Innovative Genomics Institute. She co-founded and serves on the advisory panel of several companies that use CRISPR technology in unique ways.
</p>
<p>
She is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Medicine, the National Academy of Inventors, and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Doudna is also a Foreign Member of the Royal Society, a member of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences, and has received numerous other honors including the Breakthrough Prize in Life Sciences (2015), the Japan Prize (2016), Kavli Prize (2018), the LUI Che Woo Welfare Betterment Prize (2019), and the Wolf Prize in Medicine (2020). Doudna’s work led TIME to recognize her as one of the “100 Most Influential People” in 2015 and a runner-up for “Person of the Year” in 2016. She is the co-author of “A Crack in Creation,” a personal account of her research and the societal and ethical implications of gene editing.

Lawrence H. Summers
</h4>
<p id="yui_patched_v3_11_0_1_1706284955693_848">
Former Treasury Secretary <b id="yui_patched_v3_11_0_1_1706284955693_847">LAWRENCE H. SUMMERS</b> is one of America's leading economists. In addition to serving as 71st Secretary of the Treasury in the Clinton Administration, Dr. Summers served as Director of the White House National Economic Council in the Obama Administration, as President of Harvard University, and as the Chief Economist of the World Bank.
</p>
<p>
Dr. Summers' tenure at the U.S. Treasury coincided with the longest period of sustained economic growth in U.S. history. He is the only Treasury Secretary in the last half century to have left office with the national budget in surplus. Dr. Summers has played a key role in addressing every major financial crisis for the last two decades.
</p>
<p id="yui_patched_v3_11_0_1_1706284955693_929">
During the 1990s, he was a leader in crafting the U.S. response to international financial crises arising in Mexico, Brazil, Russia, Japan, and Asian emerging markets. As one of President Obama's chief economic advisors, Dr. Summers' thinking helped shape the U.S. response to the 2008 financial crisis, to the failure of the automobile industry, and to the pressures on the European monetary system. Upon Summers' departure from the White House, President Obama said, "I will always be grateful that at a time of great peril for our country, a man of Larry's brilliance, experience and judgment was willing to answer the call and lead our economic team." The Economist recognized his influence when it defined the "Summers Doctrine," an approach to economic policy during financial crises that fuses a microeconomic "laissez faire" mentality with macroeconomic activism. "Markets should allocate capital, labour and ideas without interference, but sometimes markets go haywire, and must be counteracted forcefully by government."
</p>
<p>
Summers' five years as President of Harvard represented a time of major innovation for the University. He focused on equality of opportunity and removing all financial obligation from students with family incomes below $60,000 a year. He launched a major effort to make Boston, and Cambridge in particular, the global leader in life sciences research, with the formation of major programs for stem cell research and genomics. Perhaps most importantly, he led efforts to renew Harvard College with dramatic increases in study abroad programs, faculty-student contact, and collaboration across the University during his tenure. Currently, Dr. Summers is the President Emeritus and the Charles W. Eliot University Professor at Harvard University, where he became a full professor at age 28, one of the youngest in Harvard's recent history. He directs the University's Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government. Summers was the first social scientist to receive the National Science Foundation's Alan Waterman Award for scientific achievement and, in 1993, he was awarded the John Bates Clark Medal, given to the most outstanding economist under 40 in the United States. He was elected to the National Academy of Sciences in 2002. He has published more than 150 papers in scholarly journals.
</p>
<p>
Summers is an advisor to businesses and investors. He serves on the board of Square and Premise. He chairs the board of the Center for Global Development and serves on the board of ONE. He is an advisor to The Hamilton Project, The Hutchins Center on Fiscal & Monetary Policy and the Peterson Institute for International Economics. He is a distinguished senior fellow at the Center for American Progress and recently co-chaired the Commission on Inclusive Prosperity. He recently launched a Task Force on Fiscal Policy with Mayor Bloomberg and chaired the Commission on Global Health, lauded by the UN Secretary General who noted that it "will bring more than health - it will bring equity, and contribute to a life of dignity for all."
</p>
<p>
President Bill Clinton said that Larry Summers "has the rare ability to see the world that is taking shape and the skill to help to bring it into being." He has been recognized as one of the world's most influential thinkers by Time, Foreign Policy, Prospect and The Economist magazines among many others. In his speeches, regular newspaper columns in The Washington Post and public commentary, he continues to move forward the debate on national and global economic policy.

<b>Brad Jacobs</b> is a career CEO and serial entrepreneur with a unique track record as a Wall Street moneymaker. To date, he has founded and led seven billion-dollar or multibillion-dollar companies, creating tens of billions of dollars of value for shareholders.
</p>
<p>
Over the course of his career, Jacobs has raised $30 billion of debt and equity capital, including three IPOs, and led approximately 500 M&A transactions across multiple industries.
</p>
<p>
In the supply chain industry, he grew XPO into a top ten global logistics provider, and then executed a $7 billion spin-off of GXO Logistics and a $5 billion spin-off of RXO, creating two new public companies in about 15 months. XPO was the seventh best-performing stock of the last decade in the Fortune 500 and became a "32-bagger"–initial investors in XPO made more than 32 times their money.
</p>
<p>
Prior to XPO, Jacobs founded United Rentals and United Waste Systems. He built United Rentals into the largest construction equipment rental company in the world in 13 months. United Rentals was the sixth best-performing Fortune 500 stock of the last decade, and became more than a "100-bagger"–the share price at inception was $3.50, and its stock now trades at more than 100 times that price. United Waste's stock outperformed the S&P 500 by 5.6 times from the time Jacobs took the company public to its sale for $2.5 billion.
</p>
<p>
Jacobs is managing partner of Jacobs Private Equity, LLC, and serves as chairman of the board of XPO (NYSE: XPO), GXO Logistics (NYSE: GXO), and RXO (NYSE: RXO). He is the author of <i>How to Make a Few Billion Dollars</i>.

<b>Sander Gerber</b> is Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of Hudson Bay Capital, a global investment management firm. Mr. Gerber has more than 30 years of investing experience in multiple securities classes and derivatives across a broad range of strategies. Hudson Bay Capital has delivered high quality risk adjusted returns for investors throughout multiple market cycles.
</p>
<p>
In 2008, Mr. Gerber developed the Gerber Statistic, which measures the co-movement of financial assets, enabling early detection of concentration risks and insufficient diversification within an absolute return portfolio. Later, after many years in collaboration with Harry Markowitz, the Nobel Prize-winning economist and father of Modern Portfolio Theory (MPT), research was completed to optimize the modern portfolio construct by replacing historical covariance with the Gerber Statistic. This groundbreaking paper was published in the Journal of Portfolio Management of February 2022.
</p>
<p>
Mr. Gerber is also the chief designer of his firm's proprietary Deal Code framework, a scalable, repeatable portfolio management system that provides granular control seeking to minimize loss, maximize return, and optimize the judgment skills of Hudson Bay Capital's investment professionals.
</p>
<p>
Mr. Gerber began his investment career in 1991, as a member of the American Stock Exchange working as an equity options market maker. In 1997, he founded Gerber Asset Management LLC ("GAM") to develop and engage in proprietary investment strategies, many of which are utilized by Hudson Bay Capital today. In late 2005, Mr. Gerber and Yoav Roth co-founded Hudson Bay Capital, which absorbed GAM's business and 15 employees.
</p>
<p>
Prior to becoming a member of the American Stock Exchange, Mr. Gerber was an Associate Consultant at Bain & Company, a leading strategic management consulting firm where he assisted the senior management of multinational corporations to identify and implement corporate growth opportunities.
</p>
<p>
Mr. Gerber is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Economic Club of New York. He is a fellow and board member of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs, an independent research institute specializing in public diplomacy and foreign policy. Mr. Gerber serves as a member of the United States Agency for International Development's Partnership for Peace Fund Advisory Board. The Board provides information and advice to USAID, and other U.S. Government agencies to promote economic cooperation, people-to-people peace building programs, dialogue, and reconciliation between Israelis and Palestinians. Mr. Gerber was previously a member of the Director of National Intelligence s Senior Advisory Group (SAG). SAG provides the Director of National Intelligence with an informed, external perspective regarding policy, industry best practices, technology breakthroughs, and best-in-class solutions relevant to current intelligence issues.
</p>
<p>
Mr. Gerber graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, with a BSE in Finance from Wharton and a BA in Humanistic Philosophy from the College of Arts and Sciences.
