Ed Cox photoEd Cox is Chairman of the New York Republican State Committee. Previously, he was senior partner, Chairman of Corporate Development, and member of the Management  Committee at Patterson, Belknap, Webb, & Tyler LLP. Mr. Cox has served under three presidents, including advising on international relations for President Richard Nixon and President George H. W. Bush and as general counsel of a major energy agency for President Ronald Reagan.


He has worked extensively in New York’s state government aiding in issues ranging from the state’s universities and community colleges to the merit selection of judges to New York’s highest court. Mr. Cox is director of a New York Stock Exchange independent oil and gas company, Chairman of the New York League of Conservation Voters Education Fund, and member of the Executive Committee of the National Stroke Association.
